Established in 2017 by a number of well regarded Hakka community leaders in Canada, the Hakka Canadian Association aims to promote friendships among Hakkas in Canada, to work together for the betterment of the Hakka community as well as to enhance the interactions with Hakka people in the world.
The Association received full support from the Canada United Hakka Association and the City of Markham. Upholding the principles of loving one’s ancestral roots and country and serving fellow Hakkas wholeheartedly, the Association has been working diligently in expanding its service and actively promoting various initiatives for the benefits for the community as well as for the betterment of Hakkas and the people in China and Canada.
Its mission is to preserve the Hakka culture, promote the Hakka spirit, enhance mutual exchanges between Hakka communities and members, and promote community activities such as education, entertainment, sports and festivities in the community. The Association also aims to promote social responsibility, give back to the community and support related charitable activities.
